Physical

  • Take a walk (and stay hydrated)
  • Stay in contact with friends and family
  • Enjoy some leisure time, which may include a variety of activities: do-it-yourself project, learning a new skill (crochet, knit), writing
  • Practice deep-breathing exercise or any relaxation exercise to relax

Mental

  • Color or paint or write in a journal
  • Talk to others; stay close to friends and family
  • Set a goal: help around the house, set an educational goal, etc.

Emotional

  • Talk about feelings
  • Have some 'alone' time for self-reflection and take time to talk to a trusted adult
  • Do activities you enjoy and relax
